News from the studio: Helloween are working on the successor to their number one album and announce an anniversary world tour in 2025/2026.
METAL HAMMER presents: Helloween
It was the bombshell of 2021: With their 16th, band-titled album HELLOWEEN, the Hamburg band legend returned in a seven-person line-up and caused a global metal earthquake: The album confidently cracked the number 1 spot in the charts in several countries and was celebrated frenetically by fans and experts. In 2022 and 2023, the triumph continued live and left nothing to be desired at 60 emotional concerts in 30 countries.
As a Wacken headliner, at shows in Los Angeles, New York and the Monsters Of Rock festivals in South America as well as the first sold-out gig at the legendary Budokan in Tokyo, over 800,000 fans and the reunited band members shed torrents of sweat and tears of joy - to be experienced on the live CD and Blu-ray/DVD LIVE AT BUDOKAN, which will be released on December 13, 2024.
METAL HAMMER presents: Helloween tour of superlatives
With these highlights on the shelf, HELLOWEEN are entering their anniversary year and celebrating 40 years of band and metal history. While Andi Deris, Michael Kiske, Michael Weikath, Kai Hansen, Markus Grosskopf, Sascha Gerstner and Dani Löble are working intensively on the successor to the sensational reunion album, they are simultaneously announcing a superlative anniversary tour, as bassist and founding member Markus Grosskopf explains: "We have thought of some great surprises for the fans and, in addition to the brand new songs that will be played live for the first time, we will also be playing tracks from the band's history that have not been heard live for a very long time or have never been heard live before. The shows will be a fantastic experience for all of us!"Frontman Andi Deris adds: "The creative work in the studio is incredible fun for us and the album promises to be an absolute highlight - but nothing in the world compares to a Helloween concert: The energy of our audience is simply indescribable and we can hardly wait to finally go full throttle with the fans again. The upcoming tour will be bigger, better and more impressive than ever!"
